Rain, dust and cooler weather forecast across Iraq
Forecasters expect thunderstorms in parts of Iraq, alongside dust and a gradual temperature decline.
Iraq’s meteorological authority has forecast rain, dust and lower temperatures across parts of the country over the coming days. Northern areas are expected to see rain, while western parts of the central region may receive light to moderate thunderstorms.
The outlook also includes a chance of thunderstorms in some southern areas over the weekend and more rain in western central areas early next week. Forecast highs range from about 30°C in Duhok to 42°C in Basra, underscoring sharp regional differences despite the expected cooling trend.
