KRG delegation heads to Baghdad for 2027 budget talks
Erbil says it will press for protected salary payments and a clear regional share in the federal budget.
A senior Kurdistan Regional Government delegation is scheduled to meet federal Finance Ministry representatives in Baghdad on October 7 for talks on Iraq’s 2027 budget.
The KRG said it will seek a durable funding mechanism, protection for salaries and basic payments, and recognition of the Region’s financial and oil commitments. The talks come amid a public dispute over the scale of the Region’s proposed allocation.
