IFC and Private Banks League Train Iraqi Bankers on ESG Risk

The Iraqi Private Banks League and the International Finance Corporation have held training for employees of Iraqi banks on risk management and environmental, social and governance standards. The programme covered how ESG considerations can be incorporated into lending and other banking decisions.
The organizers said the course is part of their continuing cooperation to build institutional capacity and promote international governance practices. It reflects a growing focus on risk frameworks as Iraqi banks seek deeper integration with global financial standards.
