Iraq’s Al-Salam and ZTE sign technology-transfer MoU
State-owned Al-Salam General Company and China’s ZTE agreed to cooperate on technology and manufacturing transfer at the ITEX5-2026 exhibition.
Al-Salam General Company, an Iraqi state enterprise, and Chinese telecommunications group ZTE signed a memorandum of understanding covering technology cooperation and manufacturing transfer. The agreement was announced during the Iraq International Exhibition and Conference ITEX5-2026.
The signing took place under the patronage of Communications Minister Mustafa Jabbar Sanad, according to Iraq’s Ministry of Communications. The announcement did not disclose a financial value, timetable or specific production commitments, but the MoU signals an effort to build local technical and manufacturing capability through international partnership.
