Draft budget shows lower Kurdistan allocation
A review of the 2027 draft puts the Region’s listed allocation at 13.308tn dinars, down from 2023.
Iraq’s 2027 draft budget lists 13.308 trillion dinars for the Kurdistan Region, a 19.3% reduction from the 2023 figure, according to a Kurdistan24 review of parliamentary finance material.
The report said investment spending was set for the sharpest reduction, though it also noted that the listed 6.1% figure should not automatically be treated as the Region’s legal budget share. The proposal remains part of an ongoing budget process.
