Zaidi Presses Blocs to Complete Cabinet and Weapons Deal

Prime Minister Ali al-Zaidi urged leaders of the Shiite Coordination Framework to complete the cabinet and maintain support for negotiations with armed groups over weapons control. According to Shafaq News, the talks concern a mechanism for transferring weapons to the Popular Mobilization Forces Commission within agreed timelines.
Political blocs have submitted candidates for remaining posts, but Sunni and Kurdish parties still need to agree on nominees before parliament can vote. The Coordination Framework has set June 30, 2027 as the target date for implementing constitutional weapons-regulation provisions.
