Kurdistan Security Forces Announce ISIS Cell Arrests
Asayish says it detained 22 suspects in operations across Sulaimani and Halabja.
Kurdistan Region security forces said they dismantled Islamic State cells and arrested 22 suspects in Sulaimani and Halabja provinces. The Asayish agency said the operations followed intelligence work and judicial orders.
Authorities alleged that the suspects were seeking to reorganize, plant explosives, conduct bombings and target security personnel. The agency said weapons and military equipment were seized and that investigations remain underway.
