Iraq U17s Narrowly Lose Second Iran Friendly in Baghdad
Iraq’s under-17 side showed progress after its first defeat but fell 1-0 to Iran in the second friendly at Al-Zawraa Club Stadium.
Iraq’s under-17 national team lost 1-0 to Iran in their second friendly in Baghdad, part of both teams’ preparations for upcoming competitions. The match was played at Al-Zawraa Club Stadium.
Iraq had lost the first friendly 3-0, but the coaching staff said the second performance was improved. Assistant coach Farid Majeed said the fixtures were being used to assess players, raise readiness and address issues ahead of official commitments.
