Erbil face Maysan test in push near the top
Erbil visit Naft Maysan on Thursday, aiming to protect their place among the Iraq Stars League front-runners.
Erbil are set to meet Naft Maysan at Maysan International Stadium at 6:45 p.m. Baghdad time on October 8. Erbil start the Matchweek 9 contest third on 17 points from eight matches, one point behind Al Zawraa.
Naft Maysan have six points after eight league fixtures and will be looking to use home advantage to halt their difficult start. For Erbil, the away game is an opportunity to remain in close contact with the league’s leading sides before the next round.
