Baghdad confirmed to stage Gulf Cup 28 in 2028

Baghdad has been confirmed as host city for the 28th Arabian Gulf Cup, scheduled for December 9-22, 2028. The decision follows an agreement involving the Arabian Gulf Cup Football Federation and the Iraqi Football Association, according to Iraqi news reports.
Iraq’s football authorities are expected to identify the tournament stadiums later, while inspection teams will assess venues, hotels and logistics. It will be Iraq’s third staging of the competition and Baghdad’s second after the 1979 edition.
